On Sunday May 5 the  Film: When the Iron Bird Flies
was shown at the Glen Building 405 Corry St.

The Dharma Center along with Antioch College invited everyone to this documentary film. An up-close and personal journey following the astounding path of one of the world’s great spiritual traditions from the caves of Tibet to the mainstream of Western culture. The film highlights the provocative exchange between Buddhist practitioners and Western scientists and educators now at the heart of the emergence of a genuine Western tradition of Buddhism. The film’s producer and co-director, Amber Bemak an Antioch alum, Antioch Buddhist Studies in India alum and former Dharma Center resident was on hand to answer questions about her film.

On Saturday May 18 the Zen Group’s Teacher, Roshi Daniel Terragno, presented the center with a new calligraphy for the meditation hall. Meditation at 7:30 pm followed by presentation, tea and snacks, and conversation.
